“My interest in Nutrition and health was triggered by a surprising discussion with my mother’s oncologist!”
Around 15 years ago, I had a very different career planned for myself. I was happily working in a farming business in Herefordshire UK, with my parents, involved in producing potatoes, herbs, and various crops. A country-life was for me, and I loved it.
My mother had previously been diagnosed with Non-hodgkins lymphoma and she was managing her disease. She was living a ‘normal life’ enjoying golf, being active, as if everything was ok. One day, I took a trip to see my mothers’ oncologist to understand more about her condition and see what treatment options were available. In the meeting I was shocked to hear the following words the oncologist said “this cancer cannot be cured, only managed, she (my mother) will live up to another 5-6 years, and treatment will be radiotherapy and chemotherapy when appropriate”. With those words I could see my mother just accepting her fate and I just felt a sense of hopelessness, nothing could be done at all.
That discussion motivated me to dig deeper, my thoughts were “surely there must be something which helps beat this disease?” I then went to investigate, using all resources available, the library, the internet, speaking to friends involved in the health industry, asking lots of questions about different treatments for cancer. It was at this point I started coming across stories of people being ‘healed’ of the disease, by using nutrition, supplements, detoxification and lifestyle changes. This was point which triggered a change in my career, in the health and nutrition field.
I came across the Kelley enzyme protocol which was applied by Dr. Kelley in the USA and Dr. Nick Gonzalez in NY. USA. Both of them had cases of non-hodgkins lymphoma patients which had been healed by their protocol. My mother was interested in making some changes to her lifestyle and she changed her diet, but in the end she was not willing to make the big lifestyle changes one needs to make to see the protocol work.
Tragically, she passed away in 2006, and it was a sad moment for all the family. But for me, questions were still left unanswered. “Why couldn’t oncologists understand the influence of nutrition and functional medicine?”, “where in the UK, Europe can you see a more integrated approach to beating the disease?”
My belief in trusting the medical system and oncologists had been shattered, we live in a world where we expect transparency from healthcare systems in disseminating all knowledge and yet, we have a system which is tightly regulated and does not appreciate innovative and integrated health programs.
I investigated all things in nutritional and naturopathic medicine, the education courses one can do, I wanted to seek the answers to finding out more about stopping cancer and reversing it through nutritional and alternative regimes.
My career change into the health and nutrition industry started soon after, I moved to Hong Kong in 2007 and started to learn more about fitness and nutrition, and over the years started to learn and realise the subtle, intricate changes nutrition can have on the body.
From 2010 onwards I started working with various Functional Medicine clinics in Hong Kong, using nutritional therapy to help a variety of patients. In 2011 I attained a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Hawthorn University and subsequently in 2014 a Diploma in Functional Medicine from the Functional Medicine University, USA.
I currently work from three clinics in Hong Kong, helping a variety of patients. My passion is to help in particular cancer patients or people who are concerned about cancer, with providing them the additional knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about treatment protocols and nutrition practices for beating cancer.

I offer consultative support for people who wish to do the Kelley enzyme protocol for combating the disease, and also applying the functional medicine approach to managing cancer. This support includes advice on the diet, supplementary and detoxification regimes and procedures, together with an understanding of the diagnostic tests one can undertake to appreciate the biochemistry of the body.
